Tasting Night: McLeod's Brewery with Food Pairings

On Wednesday 26th of March from 7pm, we’re hosting our next tasting event, presented by the legendary and award winning McLeod's Brewery and a line-up of quality beers.

McLeod’s Brewery was practically destined to sponsor the world’s first kilt-required surfing competition, but its journey wasn’t instant. Growing up with summers spent surfing Waipu Cove, the Gwynne brothers left corporate life to take over Waipu’s Pizza Barn in 2003, adding their own tartan-clad touch. While the food was great, the beer lacked character, inspiring them to craft their own bold, authentic brews. Drawing from local Scottish heritage, McLeod’s Brewery launched in 2014, overcoming challenges to become a thriving operation. With a passionate team and a love for what they do, they’re now eyeing that surf comp—because, like their beer, it promises to be pure dead brilliant.
